Welcome To Geuza Wazo
Years Of Successful Awareness Campaign & Capacity Development
At Geuza Wazo, we believe that true inclusion starts with understanding. For years, we have been at the forefront of advocating for the rights, dignity, and inclusion of individuals living with developmental disabilities in Kenya and beyond. Our name, which means “change thinking” in Swahili, reflects our core mission—to transform mindsets and dismantle the stigma surrounding developmental disabilities.
The first step toward inclusion is accurate, accessible, and relatable information. Many families, caregivers, educators, and even medical professionals still lack the resources needed to support individuals with developmental conditions such as autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, ADHD, and others. At Geuza Wazo, we are committed to bridging this information gap.
Through multimedia content, training programs, campaigns, school outreach, and online resources, we disseminate factual, evidence-based information on developmental disabilities. We work to ensure that our content is clear, culturally relevant, and grounded in the real-life experiences of families and individuals affected.
Our work goes beyond awareness—we also support capacity development for caregivers, educators, and healthcare professionals. We offer tailored programs that empower communities with the knowledge and tools they need to create inclusive environments in homes, schools, workplaces, and public spaces.
Geuza Wazo also uses storytelling as a powerful advocacy tool. By highlighting the voices of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families, we humanize these experiences and inspire others to take action. Our video content, blog posts, and social media campaigns reach thousands of people, sparking conversations and promoting a shift toward empathy and inclusion.
As we look ahead, our goal remains the same: to create an informed and inclusive society where people with developmental disabilities are seen, heard, and supported. Whether you’re a parent seeking guidance, a teacher looking for inclusive strategies, or a young person living with a disability, Geuza Wazo is here to walk with you.
